The shower was wonderful, because of some extreme weather predictions {more on that later} furniture was moved into the garage and we 'showered' Tracey and Angela inside. It was a major group effort. I think I have explained this before but I have 8 girlfriends who have been my dearest friends since elementary and high school. With 9 girls, 9 wedding and 13 babies {is that right?}, there have been a lot of parties. Years ago a few of the girls bought plates, tables, linens and chairs so that every time we had one of these celebrations we would be covered with the rentals. We could easily start a catering company. This weekend we all got together to celebrate our dear friend Tracey and her marriage to Angela... to hear more about their journey you can find them at A Bicycle Built for Two. It was so wonderful to have us all 9 together this weekend {I can not believe we didn't get a photo} we haven't all been in the same spot for years. Love you girls!, and Tracey and Angela I can not wait to be on that sailboat with you in a little over a month!!
** the two little newbies were our special guests.... Olivia James {2 months} and Winston {1 month}

  2. Oh, I could just eat those babies right up! So sweet and squishy! The shower looks beautiful but I must know more about that chandelier?! I love it and want one for myself. I despise the lighting that came with our house and want something special for our kitchen nook.

  4. shoot the chandelier is Restoration Hardware circa 2005.... I would try
    Rejuvenation.com or Barnlightelectric.com for some great lighting.... ox

  5. Oh Alexis, I'm completely blown away by this gorgeous shower at your house. Seriously, I don't think it could be more perfect. And with so many cute babies around too? Your house was filled with some extra love this weekend, it seems.

  7. I love the look of the shower but I was most drooling over your cupboards- is that a milk glass collection?? I collect it, too and always love to see more!

    My mother-in-law and her 6 girlfriends have a shower "system" in place as well- they are a well-oiled machine :)

  12. Alexis, I ADORE your style! And let me start by saying that, aside from your lovely banner/flowers, and overall arrangement - your photo of the food and those bird cages filled with fruit are simply stunning. Also, those newborns are the best dressed babes I've seen in awhile! Too darn cute. Thanks for sharing and for inspiring me with your perfected Party Flair. xx
