Not only are Ross and I a year and a day apart but we were delivered by the same man {side note: 1979 was actually a leap year so we were born exactly 365 days apart... I don't know about this part but Ross always adds that and I think it is sweet}. Anyway our birthdays are always celebrated together which is really special. This birthday we drove about 25 minutes and stayed downtown. Wait... I am getting ahead of myself... before we left Ross insisted that I open his gift. He gave me the little dress that I have been dreaming about from Pretty Mommy. I was so incredibly touched and felt so amazingly special to be wearing such a fun dress on our little getaway. {Michelle from Pretty Mommy was sweet enough to help Ross and even did the cutest wrapping ever!}.

Our first stop was Cafe Chloe. This is my favorite place to eat in San Diego. I love the atmosphere, the service, the name, the decor, and THE FOOD. We have had breakfast here, lunch here and even Valentines dinner. It is always special and so yummy. I discovered my new favorite drink... move over Lillet make room for New Age, okay so I know the name is kind of a bummer but inside is pure loveliness. It is served the same way as Lillet. I had 2! {I love having a cocktail at lunch... if I was doing a 'take 5' that would be my 'indulge'}

And finally dinner. Okay so #2 after Cafe Chloe would have to be Banker's Hill. I absolutely loved this restaurant. The food was very 'farm to table', sophisticated, elegant yet comfortable and homey. Does that make sense? I loved it and if you have never been, I think you should go.

  16. You're right, babe. Leap years are years that are evenly divisible by four. Which would have been 1980, not '79. So if I was born in '79 and you were born in '80, then my theory would be correct.

    But it's fun to say, anyway.

    Happy day.
