On a scale of 1-10, this year was a 9 and the only reason that it wasn't a 10 was because it was freezing cold and the tide came up so high that there wasn't a beach by 1 o'clock. Other than that it was wonderful ;). Our dearest friends all got together and we had a house to call 'home base.' Most everyone brought pac n' plays so while the little kiddos were sleeping all the adults were able to have a beer and visit {it was the best... and so rare}. Plus the kids were so good, they played with snails and just chased each other around the house. It was a great day. My absolute highlight was keeping Henry up until 9 and watching him watch the fireworks for the first time. Magic.
