Ross, Henry & I celebrated Mother's Day on Saturday which was so special and sweet. Ross made me a video of Henry which I will cherish and we had a beautiful little breakfast at La Valencia {our special spot}. We also had a fun birthday party at the beach and spent the afternoon with our closest friends... which was wonderful. But I would be unauthentic if I didn't say that this was a bum weekend. Mother's day was difficult with the rest of my family and all I can say is that I have a heavy heart and I am sad... sigh.
So with that said I am going to focus on the positive, here are some of my favorite snips from the weekend...
After breakfast we walked down to the children's pool to see the seals.
Potty training. Not sure if I would really put this in the 'happy moment' category but worth a mention. {side note: I would much rather change a diaper for another year then deal with this poop... sorry to be gross but this potty training thing is not my idea... it is all Henry}
My sister, CC, spent the day with us on Mother's Day. It was really nice to spend sometime with her... so I guess that is a positive {side note: 1- these are her Rainbows that I gave her 7 years ago... they belong in museum}.
The beach was so beautiful on Saturday... I would call it the first official 'beach day' of the year.
Look at this little cutie patootie... his parents are two of my favorite people. I met his Daddy in third grade. This photo makes me smile.
lovely snaps!

ReplyDeleterainbow sandals! i've been debating whether to invest in a pair or not. $50 is a lot for flip-flops, but they're like a cult of comfortability!
ReplyDeletethat water is drool-inducing!
Sorry about the bum part of your weekend, but the rest of it looks like it was adorable! That "feet" shot is so cute you should frame that one:) That was really nice of Ross to make you that film of Henry. And the potty training ... not looking forward to it with Kostas, especially since Penelope was super easy to train! Looking forward to Wednesday:)
