I have been feeling the need to stop the spending and after reading Jocelyn's post on Simple Lovely I knew that the timing was perfect. She invited her readers to join her in a 'spending hiatus' and I RSVP'ed, yes. Starting yesterday, the 15th, I have pledged to only spend on things that we 'need.' The things that fall under 'need' are groceries, diapers, shaving cream, clothes if Henry keeps growing an inch every month, co-pays and gas {you get the picture}. I have to be honest it is really hard, which is exactly why I know it is a good exercise for me. This doesn't mean that I won't be blogging about fabulous things that fall into the 'need' category. In fact I am sure I will be blogging A LOT about this category. It is kind of like when you have a gift card and nothing is cute but when you don't you 'need' the entire store. Well here I go, 1 month of spending hiatus {Jocelyn at Simple Lovely is doing 2 months, she is much braver then I} Oh one other thing is that all gifts must be handmade {unless you already bought it and have it tucked away, wink}. Let me know if anyone is up to the challenge, misery loves company {wink}.
