My sweet friend Tracey married a woman named Angela this weekend. I wouldn't be telling the truth if I said that it wasn't a big deal. It was a big deal and a very courageous thing for my friend to do. She found the person that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with and that person happens to be a woman as well. Her wedding this weekend was pure love. The sun was shining bright, it had to have been one of the most beautiful days in San Diego's history. The bay was magical and they were surrounded by all the people in their lives who love them the most.
I love you T.
On a less personal note... Tracey {being the fabulous wedding planner that she is} planned the most stunning wedding for herself. The flowers were perfect, the setting was on a sail boat in the San Diego harbor {amazing!}, her dress {which she designed} was a show stopper and the food was incredible! I hope I gave you all enough photos to look at... it was hard to set my camera down.

  1. What a gorgeous setting and occasion in which to celebrate! I grew up watching my mom make elaborate cakes & if she saw that beautiful cake on a moving boat, she'd have a heart attack!

  3. What a lovely setting for a wedding! I have a nautical background and we will be teaching our family to sail this summer...The little ones especially! I love/miss/adore being on a sailboat and experiencing the complexities of the open water. Lot's of fun/hard work.

    Cheers!

Hey send me some of that sun! .speck

  6. Amazing pictures and what a perfect day! Sending a big congratulations to them both.

Having spent years in the wedding business, the shot of the cake on a pedestal stand bouncing through the harbor would give me a total panic attack, but it looks like everything went swimmingly (no pun intended0

  10. Your photos are gorgeous! My husband and i married on a sailboat in San Diego harbor in 1987. It was so romantic. It was August so we had a warm sunny day too.

I love the wraps in the old suitcase. I'm sure everyone was reaching for one and the sun set. What a great idea!
