The nesting has started and it commenced in the Art Barn. I am so fired up to spend every moment in there now. For the last 6 months the Art Barn has been a collection receptacle for outdoor cushions, books, mending and stuff. This week I decided that I need to get my barn in order. Every day this week, sometimes until midnight {with breaks to feed Henry} I have been cleaning out. 5 full trash bags and all of the cushions have found new homes. If it didn't inspire me it was taken out. Even right now as I type I want to be sitting at my sewing table or the work bench making something.

  1. Alexis, it's fantastic! I knew the art barn had such potential when you first showed it to me, but you've really done an incredible job organizing everything! You're so lucky to have your own lovely inspiring space.

  2. Gotta love nesting!!! Funny thing is I nested after my babies were born. I wanted everything perfect! Well, with Taylor I couldn't really nest during my pregnancy because our home was being remodeled {not fun}. I love your art barn! Keep on Nesting!! :) xoxo

  6. I love the nesting part--I always felt like superwoman! Keeping a clear space is the only way I can get things done--If I am tripping over stuff, I know it's time to reevaluate! Have a great weekend--K

  7. Alexis,
I could have spent all night in your Art Barn. I felt like there wasn't enough time to soak up every last jewel and gem. You have one very special creative refuge.

  14. I am in total nesting mode.. in fact I have piles everywhere that I should be working on as I type. I'd want to spend all day in that art barn too! So inspiring.
How much longer for you? I've got 2 weeks to the day, unless baby comes sooner!
ps- That pasta looks so fab. I'm making a similar one tonight but now you've given me a few more ideas of things to add.
