This was a very odd weekend. I was super sick and Ross was in Joshua Tree {sad face}. I spent most of the day sleeping on Saturday {thank you Nini and Buck}. I had a bit of a pity party being so sick. I will spare you all of my issues but let's just say that I felt like a Roseanne Roseannadanna skit when she ends with "you sound like a real attractive guy" but in my case gal. I am feeling much better now and so grateful I was able to lay low this weekend.

One of the perks of the restful Saturday- I was able to catch up on all my favorite blogs. Here are some highlights...

~ The cutest little essay ever written by Karey's daughter on Mackin Ink {fabulous writing skills definitely run in the family}
~ To die for gnocchi found via Bink and Boo
~ The secret to microwave popcorn {I want a microwave just for this post}
~ The cutest chalk paint DIY
~ Adorable handmade invites
~ Haydee's recap on the Oscars {specifically the part about James Franco}

Hope you all had a great/healthy weekend.

Oh, one more thing... Jennie had her baby... Stella James... too cute!!

  7. I am glad to hear that you are feeling better, and that you were able to get some rest this weekend.

    As I am typing this there is mac n' cheese gnocchi in the oven. It's perfect rainy weather food.

    Hugs.

  13. Just popped over here after seeing Michelle's guest post on SL and almost fell out of my chair when I read the hubby made a trip out to Joshua Tree. DO TELL! I used to live there and miss it every day- so many creative people doing incredible work out there in the hi-dez. And your lil' guy getting his bath in the sink? I can't imagine anything sweeter for a new mom to capture in a picture. So darling.
    xo
