My weekend started on Thursday when the lovely & fabulous Catherine of Rikshaw came to visit. Grace, Melissa and I threw her a little trunk show. There is so much to tell about this evening and visit that I think I have to devote an entire post to it... I am going to try to post this later today but if I don't get to it... look for it tomorrow.

This weekend was my in~loves {'in~law' sounds so 'out~law'} 40th wedding anniversary. Isn't that amazing... 40 years. We threw a party for them at a beautiful park called San Dieguito {if you are local this is a great little venue, the place the we set up had a gazebo and can sit up to 200 people}. People came as far as Kansas to celebrate Mike & Nancy. It was so special.

On all the tables there were flowers with photos of Mike & Nancy when they were young and in love. I just made a little card, cut the corners with Martha's punch {found in the Martha isle of Michael's}, I got all of the photos copied on photo paper at Staples, put photo corners on the pictures, and glued them to sticks.

It was so wonderful to see Mike & Nancy so happy they were surounded by 85 of their closest friends and family. One of the highlights for me was seeing Nancy talking to her highschool friends who came from all over the country. What a gift to be with friends on your 40th who remember when you fell in love.

Henry had a blast with all of his cousins and friends plus I learned if you give him a huge piece of cake he will sit still for about 10 minutes.

After the last bit of family went home I met my sister, Christiana at the beach. sigh... It was so nice to have a bit of down time {I am so so so so tired} + she is leaving for NY on Wednesday and I am not sure when I will see her again {sad}. Love you CC.
