addition tear-outs

Thursday, January 14, 2010

So the addition has began - well kind of. It has started in the sense that we have had 2 meetings with the architect and I have been spending all my day dreaming thinking about furniture layouts, finishes & window treatments... Here are a few 'tear-outs' that are inspiring me today.

{Kelly Wearstler's boys room. I love love love the books on the wall... great idea for a playroom}

{One of my ideas is a split level so that our attic space is big enough for Henry and 'Henryetta' to play, sleep, get in trouble}

{I LOVE this so much. I really want to do a lot of built-ins in our closet. I am especially dreaming of a bright orangey~coral mohair chaise tufted with brass buttons in the middle.}

{Oh here is another attic inspired tear-out.}

  3. wow that tear out of the play room is fabulous! i've never seen that. i did a very similar thing in harpers room. i loved the look of covering his wall in books. it's practical, saves space, and makes such a statement. plus it's so much fun to see the front covers of all his adorable books. can't wait to see your addition evolve!!!

    xo,
