My visit with my grandmother wouldn't be complete without a day of junking. So we headed to the country to hit our favorite spots and then worked our way back into town. My grandma is amazing to go antiquing with ~ she is a total pro ~ not only does she know everyone who works at the shops but she can give you a tutorial on almost every piece for sale. Here are a few of my highlights.
Call of the dogs the search is over. I found the perfect 'laundry truck!'
Henry was such a trooper, as long as he had a truck he could go 'brooom brooom' all over the place.
Love love love this vintage Pyrex.
Since I was a little girl I have always wanted one of these. A claw foot tub is definitely in the 'remodel folder.'
As soon as I got home it was so much fun to unwrap all the news paper and paper bags to see what I had found. So many treasures! This trip marks the tipping point of 'inventory,' as planned I am going to start selling the things that I have been collecting for F&F in the last 6 months. I will being selling it at the MOPS Boutique, November 20th {along with all of my other goodies} but after that I will post everything that didn't sell to etsy. Stay tuned.
Steve & I found a claw foot bathtub for our house in VT as part of the bathroom remodel..the thing to keep an eye out for was that the enamel on the inside is really good, and if the outside of the tub is messed up - an electri I always look forward to going back up to the house, mostly to soak in my old/new tub!!!
ReplyDeleteKelly your house in VT sounds amazing! family reunion ;)?
